Over the years, the word acid has taken on a negative connotation in the English language. In some cases, this is rightfully so, because many acids are dangerous. However, the truth is that society uses and even consumes many types of acid every day. In this presentation, students will learn the properties and behavior of acid compounds. We will also explore the domestic and industrial use of various acids. We’ll also take a look at acids use in wastewater treatment for pH neutralization and a few more specialized methods.
